Hope these photos help some. It is a rather large
but not impossible task to raise or lower the bucket.
I would take some measurements of where the
bucket is know. Decide how many inches you want
to raise or lower it. Turn the adjuster in or out
that many inches.

copy and print them if you wish.
Check out the restoration pages. Lots more photos
that should help.

Lower Ejection Handle Removal & Installation
|
Emergency Oxygen Mechanism
|
Removing the nut #31 in Detail B Figure
5-13 should allow you to remove the knob
(Apple) #30 in Detail B Figure 5-13.
However, I am not sure of this. I could not
get the nut loose without putting the Apple
it in a vice and I wasn't going to do that.
If you remove the center handle by filing the
end of the stop pin #3 in Figure 5-13, you
can reuse the pin. Drive the stop pin back in
and stake the pin around the filed edge with
a sharp center punch. That will hold the pin
in good enough for display purposes.
I've been getting lots of inquiries on how to remove/replace the lower
Ejection Handle and removing the Emergency Oxygen Knob (the green
knob called the Apple on the left side of the bucket). Here's some info
that should help.

I have had lots of inquiries for plans of the
seat stand that I built for my seats. Here they
are. Sorry, I must put this in.
DISCLAIMER!
Although these plans are for a rugged stand, I
take no responsibility for any injuries that
may occur due to improper welding and/or
assembly or any injuries that may occur while
performing such welding and/or assembly.
Attaching Survival Pack Negative -G Hold Down Straps and Lumbar Pad to Seat Bucket
|
In order to attach the Survival kit to the Bucket, you have to have Lap
Belts and Leg Restraints at least the Blue Leg Lines. For the Lumbar
Pad (depending on which one you have) you have to have the Lap Belts.
